Snoop Dogg’s Daughter Cori Broadus Welcomes Baby Girl Three Months Early After Developing HELLP Syndrome

Cori Broadus, the 25-year-old daughter of Snoop Dogg, shared the emotional news that she gave birth to her first baby three months before her due date. In a heartfelt Instagram post on Friday, February 28, Broadus, who is engaged to Wayne Deuce, announced the arrival of their daughter, born at 25 weeks.

“The princess arrived at 6 months,” Broadus wrote, sharing a black-and-white image of their newborn daughter’s tiny foot. She expressed feelings of guilt but also gratitude, writing, “I’ve cried and cried, I’ve compared and compared, blaming myself that I wasn’t able to give her all that she needed. But no matter what, God always shows me that I’m His Child!”

Broadus went on to share that despite the early birth, their daughter was doing well: “Baby girl came at 25 weeks today and she’s perfect as ever! Thank You God for getting me this far no matter the odds that are constantly thrown against me 🙏.”

In the post, Broadus also revealed that she had undergone a C-section. “1st c-section was success:) s/o to the man up above 🫶🏾🫶🏾🫶🏾,” she wrote in one Instagram Story, where she was lying on the operating table.

Broadus later posted another Instagram Story explaining that she had gone to the doctor on February 27, thinking she was experiencing a bad case of gas. However, she was diagnosed with HELLP syndrome, a life-threatening complication of pregnancy typically considered a variant of preeclampsia. HELLP syndrome involves red blood cell destruction, elevated liver enzymes, and low platelets, and it can be fatal if not treated promptly.

“Doctors told me thank you for coming and if I would’ve waited a few more days it would’ve been really bad,” she shared, urging women to listen to their bodies and not always trust what they see on social media, humorously adding, “Don’t believe everything you see on TikTok.”

Broadus’ fiancé, Wayne Deuce, and her mother, Shante Broadus, both shared the news on their Instagram Stories, with Shante commenting on Cori’s post, “My Berri 🙏🏽🙏🏽.”

Cori Broadus is the third child of Shante and Snoop Dogg, who also have sons Corde, 30, and Cordell, 28. The rapper is a grandfather to eight grandchildren, including his late grandchild Kai, who passed away in 2019 at 10 days old. Snoop Dogg has spoken fondly of his role as a grandfather, calling it his “crowning achievement” and cherishing the unique bond he shares with each of his grandchildren.
