Kansas City Chiefs defensive tackle Chris Jones is at the center of relationship drama after his longtime girlfriend, Sheawna Weathersby, confirmed their breakup, citing his alleged infidelity with another woman.
Weathersby, who has been spotted alongside Taylor Swift at several Chiefs games over the past two seasons, had been in a relationship with Jones for nearly a decade before their split “months ago.” The couple also shares two children: Christopher Jones II, 6, and Carson Dakota, 2.
Speculation Sparks After Jones Posts and Deletes Photo with Another Woman
Rumors about the split began swirling earlier this week when Jones posted a now-deleted photo on his Instagram story with another woman, identified only as “Giselle.” The image appeared to show them in an intimate setting, and shortly after, Giselle also shared a similar photo of herself with Jones during what seemed to be a romantic dinner. However, both posts were quickly taken down, and their respective Instagram accounts have since been deactivated.
Amid the social media chaos, Weathersby took to Instagram on Thursday to set the record straight, confirming their relationship ended due to Jones’ alleged cheating.
“I’m choosing to focus on the positive as I close this chapter on a 9-year relationship,” Weathersby wrote. “Unfortunately, Chris’ infidelity with the woman he’s recently been pictured with led to my decision to end our relationship months ago.”

Weathersby Accuses Mystery Woman of Harassment
In her statement, Weathersby didn’t just blame Jones—she also accused Giselle of having a history of harassment and stalking, claiming she was forced to change her phone number due to the woman’s persistent interference.
“I’m proud to say I chose to prioritize my own well-being and healing journey,” she added. “As I embark on this new chapter, I’m excited for the opportunities and growth that await me. I trust that God will transform the pain into something beautiful.”
Jones Previously Hinted at the Split on Social Media
While the breakup confirmation is new, Jones may have hinted at their separation months ago. Back in January, he posted a cryptic meme on X (formerly Twitter) that read:
“I’m like 106% single.”
When a fan responded, insisting that he wasn’t actually single, Jones bluntly replied, “I am.”
Earlier this week, Jones added more mystery to the situation by sharing another cryptic message:
“It’s okay to disappear to find yourself again,” he posted, captioning it with a snake emoji.

Jones and Weathersby’s Friendship with Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift
Before their split, Jones and Weathersby were close friends with Chiefs star Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift, who has been dating Kelce for nearly two years.
Kelce and Swift even sent Weathersby and Jones Christmas gifts at the end of last year. Weathersby shared photos of the presents on Instagram, which included a rare Louis Vuitton 200 bottle of champagne from France, a Santa-themed gift bag, and a rose-print wrapped box.
The gifts came with a handwritten card that read:
“Merry Christmas from Travis and Taylor.”
Weathersby expressed her gratitude in an Instagram caption:
“So blessed & grateful this holiday season. Thank youuuu, Tay Tay!!!”
Weathersby has shared multiple photos with Taylor Swift, including snapshots from Chiefs games on November 29 (against the Raiders) and October 8 (against the Vikings). Given her strong connection to Swift, it remains to be seen whether she will remain in the Chiefs’ WAG circle following the breakup.

What’s Next for Jones and Weathersby?
Jones, a three-time Super Bowl champion, remains one of the Chiefs’ most dominant defensive players, but his off-field drama has now become a major talking point.
Weathersby, meanwhile, appears ready to move on, embracing a new chapter of independence while keeping strong ties with Taylor Swift and the Chiefs’ WAGs.
With Jones and Weathersby’s split now official, fans will be watching closely to see how this situation unfolds—especially whether Swift and Kelce take sides in the breakup.
