The dog was tied to the fence with a heavy chain around it, which Officer Pascale saw. Joey was wet, shivering and obviously miserable.
“He just looks at me with those ‘Help me’ eyes,” Pascale told The Dodo. The first thing I thought was, “I needed to get him out of here.”
Safe and dry against moisture and loss.
Joey was taken to the Animal Care Centers of NYC shelter in Brooklyn by the animal-loving officer. He felt a particular connection grow between them as he dried the grateful dog with a towel.
I don’t see any animals, declared Pascale. “I can see a soul. And I don’t avoid that either.
He used SMS to send his wife a photo of the abandoned pet. Take him home, he ordered immediately. The couple quickly agreed to adopt Joey if they could overcome a small obstacle.
In just 72 hours, it seems like a lifetime
ACC told Officer Pascale that Joey would have to remain in their custody for the necessary 72 hours of missing waiting. No matter how neglected or abandoned an animal appears, it may actually have a heartbroken owner who longs for it. A lost hold gives them some time to find and report your lost or stolen pet.
Officer Pascale promised to return after the two said a tearful goodbye. She kept her promise and returned the next day and the next. They became more intimate with each meeting.
Pascale was eventually able to adopt Joey once control over stray dogs was finally lifted. Once the paperwork was finished, they took Joey outside to say goodbye to Pascale.
Officer Pascale promised to protect him and make sure he suffered more from abuse or illegality while the cheerful dog showered him with kisses. He would later return home to begin their new life together.
A completely and adequately resolved
Where before there was a hungry and scared stray dog, now there is a powerful and affectionate pet. Joey enjoys showing his father around New York City and spending time on the couch with his mother. Officer Pascale points out that she has become everything like a mommy’s boy.
Joey is a wonderful dog, but he is not perfect; His Instagram handle is @Joey Good Doggo. He occasionally gets into the trash and still likes being outside in the rain, the general is cool. And there are others like him.
Your pup really just wants to do that.
