Kim Porter’s children have come forward to address the ‘hurtful’ rumors swirling around her, following Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ arrest on sex trafficking charges.
The late model and actress, who was intermittently linked with Diddy from 1994 until 2007, shared three children with him: Christian ‘King’ Combs, 26, and 17 year old twins D’Lila and Jessie. Quincy, Kim’s 33 year old son from a previous relationship with R&B artist Al B. Sure!, was also raised by Diddy.
Passing away due to pneumonia at her Toluca Lake home on November 15, 2018, after battling flu-like symptoms, Kim’s death has been surrounded by speculation. In response, her children Quincy, Christian, Jessie, and D’Lila issued a heartfelt statement.

They said: “We have seen so many hurtful and false rumours circulating about our parents, Kim Porter and Sean Combs’ relationship, as well as about our mom’s tragic passing, that we feel the need to speak out.”, reports the Mirror.
They continued, “Claims that our mom wrote a book are simply untrue. She did not, and anyone claiming to have a manuscript is misrepresenting themselves. Additionally, please understand that any so-called ‘friend’ speaking on behalf of our mom or her family is no a friend, nor do they have her best interests at heart.”
The statement read, “Our lives were shattered when we lost our mother. She was our world, and nothing has been the same since she passed. While it has been incredibly difficult to reconcile how she could be taken from us too soon, the cause of her death has long been established. There was no foul play. Grief is a lifelong process, and we ask that everyone respect our request for peace as we continue to cope with her loss every day.”
“We are deeply saddened that the world has made a spectacle of what has been the most tragic event of our lives. Our mother should be remembered for the beautiful, strong, kind, and loving woman she was. Her memory should not be tainted by horrific conspiracy theories. We ask that everyone please respect our mother, Kim Porter, and hold her legacy in high regard so that she may rest in peace. It’s what she deserves. We love you and miss you mommy. Quincy, Christian, Jessie and D’Lila.”
Referencing an inflammatory publication, their statement highlighted the release of a purported ‘memoir’, titled Kim’s Lost Words, surfacing on September 6, just days before Diddy faced arrest. Publisher Chris Todd claims to have received the manuscript from Porter’s close acquaintances who supposedly had access to a thumb drive containing her writings, yet fails to provide hard evidence supporting its legitimacy, casting doubts over its authenticity and leading many to suspect it’s nothing but a fabrication.
In the controversial memoir, Diddy is painted as a ‘terrifying monster’ who allegedly threatened Kim with a firearm and physically assaulted her for refusing to participate in a sexual act. The book’s final entry, a chilling 60-page account, reveals that Kim texted her friends ‘he got me’ when she became critically ill.
However, Kim’s former partner Al B. Sure! and her closest friend Eboni Elektra have both dismissed the memoir as a fabrication.
