Sean “Diddy” Combs has removed all content from his Instagram account, including a previous apology video in which he addressed footage of him attacking his ex-girlfriend, Cassie Ventura, in 2016. The decision to wipe his Instagram came after months of public scrutiny over numerous accusations of sexual abuse and an ongoing federal criminal investigation into sex trafficking, which led to raids on his properties in Los Angeles and Miami.
While reports from sources close to Combs suggest that the social media purge was spontaneous and not a calculated move, it has raised questions given the deletion of the apology video. These sources claim that removing the video does not indicate a retraction of his apology but was part of a larger decision to clear his entire account.
Combs has been under increased public scrutiny since May, when CNN aired security footage from 2016 showing him assaulting Cassie in a Los Angeles hotel. The disturbing video captures Combs chasing her down a hallway, pushing her to the ground, and kicking her. Despite these events, Combs has consistently denied the recent allegations against him, while Cassie has previously filed and settled a lawsuit accusing him of physical and sexual abuse.
