Sean “Diddy” Combs is reportedly eager to testify at his upcoming criminal trial, according to his attorney, Marc Agnifilo. In a teaser for TMZ’s documentary, *The Downfall of Diddy: The Indictment*, Agnifilo expressed confidence in Combs’ desire to share his side of the story, emphasizing the emotional depth of his narrative. “I don’t know that I could keep him off the stand,” he stated, highlighting Combs’ willingness to discuss the events captured in the recently surfaced surveillance footage that shows him assaulting ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura.
Agnifilo portrayed Combs as someone deeply affected by the past relationship, referring to it as a tale of “love, hurt, and heartbreak.” Cassie, who had a tumultuous on-and-off relationship with Combs from 2007 to 2018, filed a lawsuit in 2023 alleging she was trafficked, raped, and abused throughout their time together. That lawsuit was settled out of court just a day after it was filed.
In addition to Cassie’s allegations, Combs is facing multiple lawsuits accusing him of sexual assault and misconduct. Recently arrested and indicted on charges including sex trafficking and racketeering, the indictment accuses him of hosting “freak off” parties where women were allegedly coerced and drugged for sexual activities, sometimes involving male sex workers.
Agnifilo has labeled Combs an “innocent man with nothing to hide,” asserting that he has been cooperating with federal authorities and even moved to New York in anticipation of his arrest. During a resurfaced 1999 interview, Combs had jokingly predicted he might face arrest for his notorious parties, indicating a longstanding awareness of the scrutiny surrounding his lifestyle.
His next court appearance is scheduled for October 9 at 2 PM, where the legal proceedings will continue to unfold.
