Bruce Willis’ fans were overjoyed to see the actor smiling as he was driven around Los Angeles during a rare public outing.
The 69-year-old actor was diagnosed with a rare and aggressive form of frontotemporal dementia in 2023 and subsequently retired from acting. While Bruce has stepped back from the spotlight, he has been seen enjoying time with his family and friends.
Bruce was seen riding in the passenger side of a car on Sunday as he was driven around LA’s Studio City district by a bodyguard. Bruce flashed a smile as he leaned out of the rolled down window.

The Die Hard star was seen wearing a black baseball cap and matching jacket, completing his look with a white T-Shirt. His appearance was notably different to just seven months ago when he appeared thinner in a birthday video shared by his family on social media.
Fans shared pictures of Bruce’s latest outing on X and were glad to see how happy he seemed. “Bruce Willis is beaming,” one person gushed. Another commented: “God bless Bruce Willis.”
A third fan left a row of red heart emojis under the picture. Fans had previously expressed their concern for Bruce after he appeared to be missing a tooth during his birthday celebration.
“Does no one care Bruce is missing a front tooth? What happened there?” one person questioned on X when the video was released. Someone else simply wrote: “Bruce is missing a tooth.”

However, others rushed to defend Bruce, with one person fuming: “Is somebody really on here talking about Bruce Willis tooth? Hes 68 years old and going through dementia. What is he supposed to look like?”
Bruce has been getting cared for by his family following his dementia diagnosis. His daughter Tallulah Willis previously opened up about her father’s condition on the Today Show. She revealed how she has been coping since his diagnosis.
“He’s doing stable, which in this situation is good, and is hard. There’s painful days, but there’s so much love,” Tallulah said. She added: “It’s really shown me to not take any moment for granted, and I really do think that we’d be best friends.
“I think he’s very proud of me. You have to be in the moment. You have to be present.” Tallulah’s mom Demi Moore has also opened up about her ex-husband.
“I think he’s doing, you know, given the givens, he is in a stable place. You know, it’s what I say to my kids is you meet them where they’re at. You don’t hold on to who they were or what you want them to be, but who they are in this moment,” the Ghost star said on The Drew Barrymore Show.
“And from that, there is such beauty and joy and loving and sweetness. When I’m in LA, I go over every week, and I really treasure the time that we all share.”
