Donna Kelce, the proud mother of NFL stars Jason and Travis Kelce, is fully immersed in the lives of her two sons. Known for her enthusiastic support, she often attends Kansas City Chiefs games alongside Travis’s girlfriend, Taylor Swift, cheering for her youngest child.
Recently, Travis made headlines for stepping outside of football to debut as an actor in the new Disney+ series *Grotesquerie*. In a light-hearted moment during an interview with Extra, Donna was asked what Travis can’t do, to which she joked, “He can’t clean, he can’t cook. He’s getting better, but I think he’s getting a little help.” This playful remark hints at Swift possibly assisting Travis with some household skills as their relationship flourishes.
Although Travis and Swift don’t officially live together, they’ve spent significant time together in both New York and Kansas City since they began dating last year. Donna didn’t stop at teasing Travis; she humorously mentioned Jason’s shortcomings as well, saying, “I don’t know if he knows how to paint or do pottery or anything like that.” She acknowledged that both sons put their hearts into everything they do, noting, “That’s just their nature. That’s something I didn’t teach them; that’s in their DNA.”
As for Travis’s performance on the field, he’s been striving to catch more passes this season. Through the first three weeks, the nine-time Pro Bowler has recorded only eight receptions for 69 yards and no touchdowns, a stark contrast to last season when he failed to reach 1,000 receiving yards for the first time since 2015. However, he shined in the playoffs, setting the record for the most career postseason receptions.
Despite any frustrations he might feel about his performance, Donna emphasized her son’s vibrant personality. “It just seems like his life is on a trajectory that is rising every single day,” she shared. “Whether it’s on the golf course or at a concert, he’s just having his best life right now.”
When asked if Travis is stressed by the increased attention surrounding him—especially due to his relationship with Swift—Donna confidently replied, “I don’t really think so. He’s always one to be in the limelight. He loves attention, he’s always dancing, always joking around, always having fun.” She added that his zest for life is infectious, as he aims to ensure that everyone around him is smiling and enjoying themselves.
