The story of Bonsai is an example of determination and resilience. Life presented her with many difficulties even when she was still a baby. But today, the hardest part is behind her.
Bonsai was rescued by the Friends for Life Rescue Network shelter , located in Los Angeles (United States) . She was then very small for her age, her health was fragile, and she had a cleft lip.
The veterinarians and volunteers worked hard for her, and they thought she had been saved, but her health deteriorated again. For some time, her condition continued to fluctuate, until she found herself placed in intensive care. She had also caused a lot of concern at a time when she was no longer swallowing food, and was vomiting what little she ingested.
Despite the difficulties encountered, the people caring for Bonsai never wanted to give up, and their efforts eventually paid off.
One day, the cat recovered for good, and her condition no longer deteriorated. It was also at this time that she began to reveal her personality. She felt well enough to play and express her tenderness. Her cleft lip was also corrected.
A new start for Bonsai
Once healthy, Bonsai was put up for adoption. But during her recovery, she had become friends with another feline named Waverly . It was also a female, to whom she was very close.
Luckily, a couple chose to adopt the duo without separating them. 4 months after the adoption, the family shared news with the shelter. The 2 cats have grown up well and are still very good friends. Bonsai ‘s health seems to be perfectly stabilized. A good life awaits him now.
